100% Mohair Wool Shawl - South Africa
Over 60% of the world’s mohair production takes place in
the semi-desert regions of South Africa. Mohair has the same chemical
composition at wool; it shares wool’s warmth and drape features, but is much
smoother, luxuriously soft and warm. Mohair goats are sheared twice a year, a
process that does not harm the animal and is in fact essential to its
long-term well being. This high quality natural fiber repels rather than
attracts dirt and does not require washing as often as synthetic fibers do.
The item can be hand washed or dry cleaned.
76" long (excluding tassels) x 30" wide
